Beware! Bad graphics can derail a good article

So, there I was reading along in an article about the impact that social media activity will have on the adoption of web analytics when I get to the end and encounter this illustration:

See any problems here? We’ve got tall grass, hurdles, a kind of humpback camel terrain and a runner wearing track shoes. Look at how he’s clearing that second hurdle. Common sense says he would have done a face plant, or broken a leg after landing the first jump.

By the time I finished trying to work my way through the illustration, I’d completely forgotten what the story was about. All I know is that getting from the first hurdle to the second is impossible for mere mortals.
