Yes, Van Gogh certainly would have struggled with selling himself through social media. I sometimes feel the same way: as a writer and blogger, I just want to write and become quickly overwhelmed with the many, many things I can (and should) do to drive people to my blog.
However, the most ironic part of the idea of Van Gogh living and working in today's world is that he probably would have been put on so much medication for his depression that he may have had the creativity sucked right out of him.
