Thoroughly enjoy your blog. I am located in California and have seen our inventory for less expensive homes (under $500,000) sink to just 4 months supply! In a strange way its actually a sellers market here these days. I'm a fledgling investor and just bought my 3rd property, as a short sale, for a great price (managed this even with 3 other offers from other bidders). Hopefully we can continue our bottoming out process, as in my opinion rising prices will solve a lot of the problems that all the pundits talk about. For those homeowners borderline underwater on their mortgages, a little bit of equity increase could make the difference between a regular sale and a foreclosure. Happy Holidays.
